Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes! So far so good, but the weekend's started so now I really get some time to relax and have a little fun.
No doubt about it, there's a lot of excitement on the horizon around here. With both Project Art Show Space and Troy Wise Photography. And to prepare for some of our upcoming projects, I will be restructuring and rearranging some of the older content to make room for the new.
So please excuse the mess. It's just temporary. Thanks!
Sounds like a plan:
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): "I have dreamed in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas," wrote Emily Bronte in *Wuthering Heights.* "They have gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the color of my mind." One of your main assignments in the coming week, Virgo, is to identify a dream that can work that kind of magic on you. If there is no such dream currently seeded in your imagination, find a new one to plant there.
Taking a break from the normal business of images and art, I wanted say something really quick about this site.
When Frank and I were living and working out of the Loft, there was a real need to take one day and devote it to my own artistic work. The overwhelming nature of the Loft Project required taking a weekly breather. Conveniently, especially after the explosion of energy during First Fridays, Sunday became Studio Day.
The nature of my work week has changed since leaving the Loft, but I still designate Sunday as Studio Day. I take the opportunity to focus my creativity in a strictly personal direction. Varied sources of inspiration come together, my imagination ignites, and my energy gets poured into a project that will hopefully stand on its own as a counterpoint to all my collaborative work. This system of balance ends up benefiting everything I produce.
Just a quick note on how Art of Fashion 2008 is coming along. Frank and I have been meeting with Angelina Mata and Jhosiah weekly to make sure things like press releases and media kits get covered. Those two are a breath of fresh air: committed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic. (This weekend Jhosiah got his hands on some great music that he's promised to give me a copy of. Thanks, Jhosiah!)
