FIST OF GOD: Tonight's All About MSTRKRFT

Frank and I are headed with Automatic Panic and DJ Cat NYC (THANKS GUYS) to Austin tonight to see MSTRKRFT at La Zona Rosa!! E-X-C-I-T-E-D !

On top of that? The Famousish and Undiscovered Austin will be closing out the night with a Felix Cartal party, so we're talking loads of fun.

PROJECT RUNWAY SEASON 5 WINNER: Congrats to Leanne "Leanimal" Marshall

Around here it came down to Korto vs. Leanne. I had liked Leanne's approach to design, while Frank enjoyed Korto's obvious heart and soul. (Nobody cared much for Kenley's amateurism or her personality... too much like a recent ex-partner of ours.)

Overall, Leanne's work was cohesive, conceptual, innovative, and a pleasure to look at on the runway.

(So Project Runway's departed from Bravo. From what I've heard, filming for the new season has already been a nightmare. Hope it's not a sign.)

FASHION WEEK(S) STANDOUT: Sonia Rykiel Spring/Summer 09

Not only did Sonia Rykiel stay characteristically colorful with her collection, but a surprise birthday show sent models down the runway in Rykiel looks from top designers across the board. Happy Birthday, I'd say.

FASHION WEEK(S) STANDOUT: Yazbukey Spring/Summer 09

Yazbukey showed these in Paris and have to say I like. Especially since I thought Warhol had been so worked and reworked at this point. But the Lichtenstein is nice, too. Pop is plastic, to say the least.

MUSIC FOR MONDAY: Ladytron, John Legend & Andre 3000/MSTRKRFT, Automatic Panic

Okay, honestly? Nobody actually spent much time in the studio today. Since Frank got back into town today, after being in Connecticut since Thursday, we had much to catch up on elsewhere. So we weren't playing a lot of tracks, especially since we had to make sure not to miss Weeds. (No, I'm not loving this season but I guess the show gets trooper-points for not missing a beat after the fires. And the opening credits now officially suck: the novelty's gone.)

However, we did come across these tracks and will be listening to them as we work diligently throughout the week:

• "Ghosts (Blestenation Mix)" - Ladytron
• "Green Light (MSTRKRFT Remix)" - John Legend & Andre 3000. Thanks to thefamousish.com for this one. That blog has become a staple of mine lately.
• "Outrage" - Automatic Panic. I've got to include this one of course: I was there watching as he got started on this one. Fun! Check out the song here.
