STYLE.COM: 20 FALL FASHION WEEK BRIGHT SPOTS

Despite everything economical, as Style.com points out, there are some silver linings to be found as New York Fall Fashion Week launches today. In the site's top 20? Eco fashion as sustainable concept, more models of color on the runway, and the plentiful photography that will be exhibited in close proximity to the actual fashion shows. Not bad.

DOLCE & GABBANA: Diamonds & Pearls

Dolce & Gabbana have teamed up with photographer Guenter Parth to publish Diamonds and Pearls, a new book featuring mannequins wearing D&G fashion and lots of jewelry.

Where to find it? Exclusively at their U.S. Dolce & Gabbana boutiques, for $270. Proceeds will be donated to the Butterfly Onlus Foundation.

First Thursdays are an opportunity to see the art in San Antonio's Southtown before the big First Friday art walk. I like this night because it's easier to focus on the art and talk to the people responsible for the showing the work. This particular night ended at the Museo Alameda, for their DJ series.
